RingCentral AI Receptionist
The phone giant's entry: an AI receptionist sold standalone or as an add-on to RingCentral's phone plans — a natural look if your lines already run on RingCentral, priced in minutes with a per-minute meter after the bundle.

What it does (vendor-stated)
- AI answering with appointment booking, call routing, and message capture (vendor-stated)
- Sold two ways: standalone, or cheaper as an add-on to an existing RingEX phone plan
- Sits inside RingCentral's wider phone and messaging stack rather than a field-service system
Feature claims above are the vendor's own, from its published materials — not our test results.
Published pricing — checked October 2026
| Plan | Published price | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Standalone | $49/month | 100 minutes included, then $0.50 per extra minute (billed per 30 seconds) |
| RingEX add-on | $39/month | Same product, priced as an add-on for existing RingCentral phone customers |
Per-minute after a small bundle — the meter math is the product. At low volume it's inexpensive; at trades volume the overage line does the talking, as the table shows.
What it costs at three shop sizes
| Shop size (illustrative volume) | Cheapest published path |
|---|---|
| Solo shop (~250 min/mo) | about $124/month (standalone + published overage) |
| 5-tech shop (~600 min/mo) | about $299/month |
| 20-tech shop (~1,600 min/mo) | about $799/month |
Illustrative volumes, priced from the published plans above: a solo shop at roughly 60 calls / 250 minutes a month, a 5-tech shop at roughly 150 calls / 600 minutes, a 20-tech shop at roughly 400 calls / 1,600 minutes. Your call log decides which row is yours.
Works with the software you already run?
RingCentral publishes broad CRM and app integrations; native Jobber, ServiceTitan, or Housecall Pro dispatch-board booking is not among the published claims (checked October 2026). This is a phone-system answer to the problem, not a field-service one.
Questions to ask before you buy
- Is my overage billed per second or rounded up — and to what increment?
- If I already pay for RingEX, why is the add-on priced differently from standalone?
- Where does a booked job appear for my dispatcher Monday morning?
